Develop your skills to support and supervise service delivery in a range of settings, including supported accommodation, day options services, employment services, community settings, and clients’ homes.
The Certificate IV in Ageing Support enables you to empower and encourage seniors and older individuals in the community, to live more productive and satisfying lives associated with positive ageing. The skills and knowledge you will obtain from this course will enhance your career in caring for clients in their own homes or in aged care facilities.
You will learn more advanced skills in the aged care industry, like how to the coordinate services for different groups of older people and facilitate the planning and delivery of services for your clients. You will also learn how to implement client interventions and manage compliance for legal and ethical requirements.
STUDY MODE
Face to face training and one day per week industry placement
TRAINING LOCATION
On campus at Sterling Business College – 65 Newcastle St Perth plus vocational placement (120 hours minimum) at an aged care facility. This is arranged by Sterling Business College.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- Completion of CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support,
- English proficiency – Please see Entry Requirements for further details.
COURSE UNITS
To achieve this qualification you will be required to successfully complete 18 units – 15 core units and 3 electives. The elective units will be chosen by Sterling Business College.

- HLTWHS002 Follow safe work practices for direct client care.
